Welcome to my blog! I’m Ann-Marie from London (no one actually calls me Annie, but I thought it was a catchy and pretty appropriate handle), and I AM OK. I’m 37, single, child-free, and travelling the world! After what feels like a million years of swiping, dating, and endless disappointment, coupled with years of feeling stuck in a career rut deeper than the Grand Canyon… I finally thought FUCK THIS, there has to be more to life! So, less than a month after the abrupt and unexpected end to my relationship, I quit my job, packed up my flat, and booked a one-way ticket to see the world.
Because I wanted to. So I did. (That’s the kind of “fuck it” vibe I’m leaning into these days.)
This blog is about choosing a path in life that challenges the societal norm! It’s about being single, dating, the so-called Panic Years that only a woman could truly understand, travel, health, grief, freedom, happiness, and EMBRACING LIFE! I’m putting myself out there and being completely authentic, honest, and vulnerable… I aim to inspire as many people as I can to live a life that is true to them, and no one else!

I’ll be honest with you, my blog is a bit of a mash-up of everything… all with female empowerment at the centre.
But the one thing I really want is to inspire women to stop for a minute and think about what they actually want in life! Because guess what, you don’t have to follow what society says you should be doing by a certain age! What might your life look like if you made a wildly different choice? You know it could be amazing, but fear is taking over.
I’ve got you, girl! As a Londoner who swapped my predictable life for a mad solo adventure across the world, I’m living proof of the power of solo travel to heal, inspire, and empower. Join me as I share my raw, unfiltered experiences- from overcoming heartbreak and loss to finding joy and independence on the road, at an age where everyone else is doing the exact opposite– settling down!
